Another historical delicacy from the times of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and named after its inventor, Hungarian chef JĆ³zsef C. Dobos, this caramel cake Dobos Torte was introduced at the National General Exhibition of Budapest in 1885, and Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Elisabeth were among the first to taste it.
